Music

At St Dominic’s, we want every child to be happy and enthusiastic learners of Music and to be eager to achieve their very best in order to fulfil their God-given talents. We firmly believe that the recipe for success is high quality teaching in Music, which is central to the life of our happy, caring school.

We use the Charanga Model Music Curriculum scheme to deliver music lessons.

What our children say about Music at St Dominic's:

"We've been playing the recorder this year. Our teacher has been helping us to learn new notes, but we also make sure we go over the notes we have already learnt too."

"We learn music so that we can be more musical and learn new things."

"We learn different types of music and can learn instruments. We can learn about musicians and composers too."

"I enjoy Music because it brings everyone together."

"I enjoy hearing everyone trying and having fun, whilst at the same time learning an instrument together."
