Pupil Premium 2017 – 18
The Government believes that Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle the disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it the most.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’). Schools also receive funding for children who have been looked after continuously for more than 6 months, and children of service children personnel.
In 2017 / 2018 we currently have 12 children on the Pupil Premium Register at St Dominic’s Catholic Primary School. This consists of 4 children who are identified as Free School Meal Pupil premium children, 6 children who are identified as being previously looked after children and 2 children who are identified as Forces children as their parent/ parents are currently service personnel.
From the Census Returned in October 2016 and with Payments that began in April 2017 the school received £16,700 in pupil premium money.
From the Census Returned in October 2017 and with Payments that began in April 2018 the school received £17,280 in pupil premium money.
