Read Write Inc Reading Books

Children at St Dominic’s Catholic Primary School are given phonetically decodable books which are linked and matched to their stage of acquisition of sounds. This is a book taken directly from the Read, Write Inc Scheme which is read in class and then taken home to consolidate learning. This can also be accessed online via the Oxford Owl Portal.

In addition to the phonetically decodable book matched to ability mentioned above, children also take another book home to read.  This is a ‘sharing’ book to share at home.
