Mini Vinnies
Welcome to St Dominic's Mini Vinnie's Page!
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify you Father in Heaven” (Matthew 5:16)
What is Mini Vinnies?
Mini Vinnies is a Christian organisation which gets children to put their faith into action.
Mini Vinnies are groups of primary school aged children who get together to help those in need within their school and local community. Mini Vinnies introduces children to social justice issues and to living faith through action as part of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
What does a Mini Vinnies group do?
Mini Vinnies is about praying and doing good works in the community, but it is also about young people meeting to talk, to share ideas and concerns, to have fun and to support each other.
The Mini Vinnies model of ‘See, Think, Do’ is a great way to get young people thinking and talking about their spirituality. By connecting their beliefs and values with service activities and issues in their community, they can help to make their faith real, meaningful and relevant.
