Hope for Kindness
This year, we are celebrating the Year of the Jubilee, a special time to spread kindness and care, just as Pope Francis encourages us to do.
In nursery, we practice kindness every day in many different ways. We show kindness to our friends by looking after them, sharing our toys ,and using kind words. We work together as a team, taking turns during games and activities. We also use kind hands and feet, ensuring that we treat everyone with love and respect.

This Week in Nursery: All About Bears!
This week, we’ve been learning all about bears in nursery! We kicked things off by reading the classic story We're Going on a Bear Hunt, which the children really enjoyed. To bring the story to life, we took part in a variety of exciting bear-themed activities.
We practiced our number skills by counting out bears and matching them to the numbers up to 5. The children loved engaging with the bears while developing their early math skills!
We also used our mark-making abilities as we ticked off bears that we found in our nursery environment, just like true explorers.
Finally, we became real-life explorers going on our very own bear hunt. We splashed, stumbled, and squelched as we went, bringing the adventure to life in the most exciting way!

EYFS celebrate Children's Mental Health Week
My mind is important, and so is yours! So is everybody's actually. We have spent the afternoon looking at how to take care of our minds through yoga and exercise. We've decorated our own positivity pants as a little reminder to always look on the bright side and have explored different strategies to look out for each other.
Remember, your voice matters.
Everyone Needs a Hero
This term nursery have been learning what it takes to be a hero, how we are all heroes in our own way, and who some of our local heroes are! We have linked our Catholic Social Teaching values of Solidarity and The Common Good by thinking more deeply about how we belong to each other how nobody should be excluded from the gifts of creation.
We have had special visits from a GB athlete, a local nurse and Pete the Postman- all heroic figures in our community.
A Cracking Good Read.
This term our vehicle has been all about ' A Cracking Good Read' . We have enjoyed a selection of books from different genres.
After reading and exploring all these books we decided to create our very own nursery book for the children to enjoy.
