PTFA

Welcome to the Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) of St Dominic's Catholic Primary School in Stone.

The PTFA exists to help enrich the lives of our children in their early years of education. We encourage parents, families and children to come together through various events and activities throughout the school year.

Keep up to date with all the latest fundraising initiatives and events happening at the moment.

Many thanks

Your PTFA

PTFA Update

We are delighted to confirm that our final fundraising total for the last school year 2023/2024 was a fabulous £7,605.12

A very big thank you to our whole school community for such a fantastic result.  From the events attended, easyfundraising sign up, through to donations supplied and time given up volunteering, every little makes a huge difference and allows us to continue to support the school and fund activities and resources which are outside of the school budget.

Activities Funding Update

The PTFA for a number of years now have always contributed towards each year group, helping to reduce the overall cost of excursions.

We are delighted to say that we have again pledged £1200 for this school year to go towards any trips for the children.

In addition, as we start the new school year, the PTFA are delighted to be able to support the school with additional resources for the library including a range of new books and story telling aids to make story time even more fun. We hope the children love the new stories !

Recycling Fundraiser

As a PTFA we strive to look at all aspects of what we do to ensure we contribute towards becoming more environmentally friendly.  Such initiatives include eliminating all single use plastic at events, running our Pre loved uniform shop and regularly holding a recycling collection event.

We have therefore arranged for our next Bag2School recycling collection to be on Friday 8th November.

Bag2School is a free eco-friendly fundraising scheme that helps schools, businesses, community groups, local councils, and charities raise funds through textile recycling as well as spreading textile recycling awareness.

They accept, clothes, paired shoes, handbags, hats, bags, scarves and ties, bras, jewellery, socks and belts.

So if you are having a clear out or not yet managed to drop items off at a charity shop, then why not consider donating them to our fundraiser.

Don’t forget we have a super stock of Pre-Loved Uniform, so if you need any top up’s please contact Kayleigh Rowley or the School office who will be able to help.

Next PTFA Meeting

Our next PTFA meeting will be held online on Thursday 17th October from 7 - 8pm. Everyone is welcome, so please do come along. The meeting code can be obtain from the school office.

Finally save the date for our fun filled Christmas Fayre event which takes place in School on Friday 29th November between 6 and 8 pm, more details to follow.

Thank you for your continued support,
